The Department is our place in the educational, scientific space in Ukraine, in Europe, and in the World.
Mission: Ensuring quality training of highly qualified specialists and scientific personnel for the educational system of Ukraine in the field of special education that is realized by a harmonious combination of fundamentalism and professionalism of education and scientific researches, and the integration into European educational, scientific and economic community.
- Vision What would we like it to be?
The Department should become an innovative unit in the domain of training in special education industry, the best scientific school of special education in the Western region of Ukraine, and a practical platform which provides counseling to people who belong to socially vulnerable groups, with the aim of improving the quality of their life and their integration into the society.
- Goals What should the Department achieve?
- strengthening the role of the Faculty of Pedagogic Education and the University in the society;
- developing an innovative system of scientific and scientific-methodical support;
- training highly qualified specialists who are capable of continuous professional and personal development;
- promoting the innovative development of the education system of the region and of the country through the initiative participation of teachers of the department in developing scientific support of reformation processes in the field of special education and social work in Ukraine;
- developing and implementing innovative teaching aids and technologies;
- creating practical platforms of the department for students’ professional growth.
Research Projects at the Department:
Psychological and pedagogical principles of remedial teaching and rehabilitation of people with developmental disorders, and integration aspects of specialists training ready to work in the system of special education and in inclusion environment (academic supervisor – Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Ostrovska K.O.)
