Biography

Candidate of Pedagogical Science (2011), Associate Professor of the Department of General and Social Pedagogy (2015), an author of more than 40 publications on the issues of comparative education, adult education, women’s non-formal education, teaching strategies and techniques for lifelong learning etc.

Nataliya graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and got the Specialist degree in English Philology in 2000. Master Degree in Education (Social and Philosophical Foundation of Education Program) Nataliya obtained from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, USA in 2004, and received her PhD in Education in 2011 (dissertation topic: “Problems of women’s non-formal education in the USA”, specialty 13.00.01 – General Pedagogy and History of Pedagogy).

Since 2004 till 2013 she worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy (Ivan Franko National University of Lviv) and since 2014 till now she has been working as an Associate Professor of the Department of General and Social Pedagogy. Before these positions she had worked as an English teacher in Lviv School 22 and Lviv Gymnasium “Prestige” (1996-2002).

In 2014 and in 2016 Nataliya was a visiting scholar in the Institute of Pedagogy, Wroclaw University (Poland). She is an alumna of Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program, “Canada World Youth” Women’s Exchange Program, a co-founder and a Council member of the Ukrainian Educational Research Association. Currently she is a key staff member of the projects “Improving teacher education for applied learning in the field of vocational education” (Erasmus+ KA2, 2016-2018), “Enhancing higher education reform in Ukraine” (funded by the US Embassy in Ukraine, 2016-2017) and “European Quality of Educational Research for Empowering Educators in Ukraine” (Erasmus+, Jean Monet, 2017-2020).
