About project

A joint project application from the Faculty of Teacher Education and the Department of International Relations of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv has been selected for a competitive selection and has received grant funding from the Finnish National Agency for Education.

The project entitled “Prometeus” on promoting innovative pedagogy to strengthen the potential of Ukrainian higher education and post-war reconstruction aims to develop the skills and abilities of teachers through universal methods of strengthening resilience, inclusion and innovation. The project aims to expand professional development opportunities for academic and administrative staff, promote inclusion and create a network of innovative pedagogy.

The project envisages joint training modules and courses from Ukrainian and Finnish specialists in inclusion, as well as initiatives for student and teaching mobility.

The project’s objectives also include:

creation of a certified curriculum on inclusion for University staff;
involving students in holding a week of ideas and other events to promote inclusion;
expanding the information base on inclusive education at the University by translating and adapting educational materials and resources from Finnish colleagues.
The project implementation period is from 01.08.2024 to 31.12.2026.

The project coordinators from Lviv University are Oksana Molderf, Head of the Project Support Sector of the International Relations Department, and Olha Stolyaryk, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work, Faculty of Pedagogical Education.
