Course description

The course is designed for second-year students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, specializing in Secondary Education.

The aim of the course is to form students’ pedagogical thinking, mastering knowledge, skills and
skills of psychological and pedagogical analysis of the educational process, development of
understanding of the essence of pedagogical activity as the organization of interaction between teacher and students as  equal subjects, partners.

The main objectives of the discipline “Pedagogy” are:

mastering the knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the pedagogical process;
modern educational space; basic didactic systems; methods, means and
forms of organization of education; philosophical foundations of modern Ukrainian education;
formation of an adequate understanding of the processes of learning and education as a pedagogical
interaction of subjects of mutual activity;
application of the acquired theoretical knowledge in specific types of practical activities
during the pedagogical practice.
