Department of General Pedagogy and Pedagogy of Higher Education
The Department of General Pedagogy and Pedagogy of Higher Education of the Faculty of Pedagogical Education of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv by its status and purpose provides the general pedagogical trainings of students for pedagogical activity and trains highly qualified professionals that can manage and analyze the educational process based on the educational reforms.
The mission of our Department is to create the pedagogical area for development and communication, cooperation, and joint actions of all the participants of the educational process within the university, as well as for goal-setting based on the general human virtues, values of freedom, and development of people and the community, the state of Ukraine and the human society.
The Department unites lecturers that provide teaching of normative, professional-oriented, and free choice disciplines and the management of research projects for bachelor’s and master’s degree students of the faculty of pedagogy. Lecturers take part in examination boards’ work and supervise students’ pedagogical components of assistant and pedagogical internship.
The aim of the Department is to provide high-quality organization of pedagogical training for bachelor degree students, master degree students, and Ph.D. candidates of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, who study pedagogical and vocational specialities.
